Occipital Neuralgia

Occipital Neuralgia

. There is usually inflammation associated throbbing, sharp like pain .  Headaches are sometimes associated with Occipital Neuralgia.  The pain can be  behind your eye.

There are some reasons of why you have occipital neuralgia. It can be from a pinched nerve and tight muscles.  It could be from improper sleeping and an improper pillow.  It can be from stress.

You can try over the counter anti-inflammatories. You can try ice or heat or a nice hot shower followed by ice.  It may relax the muscles or reduce inflammation if there is any.  Remember no use of ice or heat for more than 20 minutes without taking a 20 minute break.  It is always better to finish with ice.  Always use a something like a pillow case or old tee shirt between the heat or ice and the area you apply it to.

You can try chiropractic care.  Give me a call and let me evaluate you and see if I can help you if you suffer from occipital neuralgia or any health issue that you are suffering from.  I will take the time to access your issues and see if  I can help you.  Dr. Steven Perry welcomes challenging health issues and will extend to you a free consultation.  Give our office at Dr. Steven Perry a call at (818)881-2225.  We are in Tarzana close to Woodland Hills, Reseda, Van Nuys, Northridge, West Hills, and Sherman Oaks.  We are just a phone call away at (818)881-2225.
