Subluxation

Chiropractors treat subluxations but what is a subluxation?  A subluxation is the position of the vertebras and its loss of function to an area in the body.  In other words, a subluxation is a misalignment of the spine. The chiropractor can feel the subluxation and takes the pressure off the nerve by “adjusting” the spine.  The misalignment may feel bruised or sore There are many ways a chiropractor can adjust the spine or other areas of the body.

An adjustment can be gentle and direct.  There are tools to help with a subluxation such as an activator (spring-loaded mallet) or SOT blocks. There are many different techniques that can be used such as a diversified methods (which is a combination of different techniques), Gonstead technique or Thomason or Drop Table method.   Come in to visit me and we can discuss if you have subluxations and what type of adjustment would be best for you.  We are located in Tarzana, close to Reseda, Van Nuys, Woodland Hills, Sherman Oaks, Northridge, Encino and West Hills. Please give our office a call at (818)881-2225.  I will be more than happy to extend a free consultation and examination.
